Panama
Where did i go?
I arrived to Panama City late October and planned an entire trip stopping in some of Panama’s most beautiful destinations. Although we battled some rain + clouds, it was still a great time to be there.
-
Spent a total of 6 nights in the city. It was a buffer in between my other destinations. 2 nights when I first arrived. 2 nights after I got back from Saboga Island and another 2 nights after I got back from Bocas Del Toro.
I normally would never spend that much time in one city while traveling, but one of my collaborations for San Blas Islands fell through and I needed to figure out my next move.
-
Spent two nights here and collaborated with a cute beachside hostel called Saboga Lodge. If you like jungle, beach, and yoga — then this place is for you.
-
Spent 5 amazing nights here collaborating with Azul Paradise, an overwater bungalow located on Isla Bastimentos. This was my favorite part of my Panama trip. Here you’ll find the best beaches, little islands to enjoy for the day + extremely kind locals.
01. Panama City
We stayed in Casco Viejo, Panama City’s charming Old Town, which offers a fascinating contrast to the modern skyline just across the canal. The city has a unique irony, with the historic district facing the vibrant new city, separated by the iconic Panama Canal. I highly recommend spending 2-3 nights in this area—it’s full of lively bars and top-notch restaurants, and serves as a perfect base for exploring other parts of the country.
Don't miss the ceviche at one of the small Mariscos spots—it's hands down the best you'll ever have. And while you’re in town, be sure to check out Lo Que Hay. With its fantastic menu and a must-try Tamarindo Mezcalita, it's one of the city's hidden gems.
02. Saboga Island
Just a one-hour ferry ride from Panama City, Saboga Island offers a peaceful escape with its lush jungle, secluded beaches, and vibrant reefs teeming with marine life. We spent two nights at Saboga Lodge, a surf hostel tucked away in the jungle, reminiscent of a treehouse retreat. The lodge provides a range of activities, including yoga, paddleboarding, and kayaking, making it a perfect spot for enjoying the island's crystal-clear waters.
To reach the property, you’ll first take the ferry, and then a small boat will pick you up at the dock and transport you to the lodge, located on a quiet side of the island. This spot is an ideal haven for digital nomads looking for a tranquil place to work and unwind amidst nature.
03. Bocas del toro
I arrived in Bocas Del Toro in the first week of November, joining forces with Fly Trip Panama for an exciting collaboration. My mission was to capture stunning content for Azul Paradise, an overwater bungalow retreat located on Isla Bastimentos. I spent five unforgettable nights there, documenting the serene beauty of the property for Air Wellness, a yoga retreat hosting guests from across Florida. Our days were filled with exploration, from private beaches and hidden islands to boat trips to pristine snorkeling spots, where we encountered dolphins, sloths, and starfish in their natural habitat. Throughout my stay, I also created content for brands like Deko Cocktails, Indo Soles, and Salty Girl Jewelry, capturing the essence of Bocas Del Toro’s natural charm.
